Lowes

Rick and I finally made it to Lowes and then walked out happy with each other. We went just to get some ideas of what to do with our house when we build. In the past, a Lowes or Home depot trip meant a waste of a couple hours. We couldn't agree on one thing!!! It was rough.   But this trip was Fun and it went smoother than any other and I think we got the most accomplished here too. I made into a game and kind of knew that would be the only way we'd both be leaving the store alive. We split up. We set the timers on our phones and we went different directions, taking pictures of the things we liked. After twenty minutes, we met back up and showed each other what we had. The funniest thing happened. We finally realized we liked most the same things, we just couldn't find the right way to communicate it to each other before, but right then we were seeing just how similar we were both thinking for our home. It was a relief! We both left Lowes, feeling like we accomplished something and we were happy with each other. Yay!

June

The summer has been all fun and games...Here we are dancing to Frozen's, "Let it Go"

My sister got tickets for us to go to the Home Depot craft day for kids.
These kids loved putting together these tool boxes. I admit, I really loved it too.

Mother's day

My dad had made a suggestion to us all this year. He wanted my mom to feel loved and appreciated and so he asked that if we all felt like writing a little something for her that it would go a long ways in showing her that we cared. So, I got to writing. I am not a poet. I loved poetry as a kid and even gave my hand a try at it in high school and maybe even college but it just wasn't in the stars for me. Either way, I still managed to come up with this little tid bit for my mom on this special day this year.

What Mothers Do Best
By Shayanne Snodgress

The things you did
…I never knew
The time, the sacrifices
They are no Little things
They were Proof

The things you’ve seen, or touched or cleaned
The puke, the poop, the undiscussed few
You did it all- you saw it through

From diapers to dirty undies
From skinned knees to broken hearts
You shared the pain
You wished you could take it away

You did what you did
As proof to us all that you cared
You taught, you showed
You did…
 what mothers do best.

You Loved us.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mother's out there.

May

Summer is here! And we are loving it...

I can't seem to take enough pictures of this Girl

Every now and then, I find Penny on my phone and it always makes me smile.
She's learning to take selfies at a very young age.

Playing blocks with Linc.
He always looks away just as I take the picture

We were driving behind the strip mall one day when Rick spotted the tiniest desert tortoise in the gutter. We decided to rescue it and move it to a safer location.

We met up with the Felshaws, my sister's family after and the kids had a blast at Costco, trying out the shed they had set up there.

Just some good old family time

Swimming!!

Some time at the park before having Emmy over for her first sleepover

Just because she's so stinkin' cute.
I love when she finds her pockets.
