A Load I wouldn't hand off to anyone else

I am screaming Inside and Out-Ahhhhhhhh!!! I've had a load-quite Literally! And I am SO beyond ready for Rick to be back to his health and strength. It's been two weeks that I have had another child to take care of instead of a husband to help. I don't blame Rick but I sure want to sometimes because let's face it, sometimes we take our frustration out on the ones we love. For those that don't know, Rick threw out his back a couple of weeks ago and I've been picking up slack everywhere--I'm exhausted. Rick doesn't even have a great story behind his predicament, except that he bent over and BAM! He folded in half on the floor-Chiropractic appointments have helped but it's taking its sweet time healing. It doesn't help that Rick isn't taking the necessary steps to help with it (Hence me feeling like I'm taking care of another child). Alright, my venting is over-just had to get that out there and now on to brighter subjects...
We managed to get out of the house the other day and went to the park... The swings are my favorite! I loved them as a little girl and that love has never changed. Swings have played an important role in my life-sounds silly to say but they always seem to take me back to times in my life-Of course as a child when it was simpler times, to first loves and friendships and then to comfort a friend suffering from a deep loss and now to always bringing smiles and laughter to my children.

Hold your Horses!

On occasion, me and the kids get to enjoy some horse riding time. It's one of the advantages to living here. Anytime, my dad saddles up the horses, we steal a moment to exercise them. My kids love them!
I didn't grow up with horses. They came when I was in high school, but I still was able to enjoy them a little from time to time. I always thought horses were beautiful though and was pretty excited when my dad got our first horse. My youngest sister was the 4H-er in the family though. She rode in 4H for a few years I think. I was raising a lamb around the same time, believe it or not, when we got our first horse. My lambs name was Regi and he could run my 90lb butt right over. It was comedic watching me try to walk him-he was a fatty! Feeding him was about all I knew how to do as far as taking care of him. Now that I've taken that stroll down memory lane. I wanted to post some pictures. These pictures are from this last winter and I didn't get the chance to share but we rode again this last week and will get the chance this next week too so I'm posting some now.

Then and Now

I can't believe how big she's gotten-It's just not fair!!

Now
Sorry! The other video wouldn't upload but it's the same one I posted on Facebook so you can check it out there.

A Load

Well, I'm back at it-Running, that is. It seems to be the best form of exercise for me. Even though I'd rather be playing volleyball every chance I get, running seems to fit best into my schedule right now along with the occasional trip to get hay. They aren't the regular size bales of hay either; they are twice the size and so freakin' heavy. (The wind and the weight of those suckers explain all the funny faces I was pulling in the pictures-Lizzie just had to try out my new camera).
Rick has been working lots and long hours which I won't complain about because I'm grateful for the money we've been able to put into savings. We will finally be out of the dark this October and we'll see where we go from there. Maybe we'll buy a home to live in for a few years until we can build our dream home together. I don't know.
That's still a ways away and there are still a lot of "if's" and "buts".
As for now, the three little ones are keeping me busy. Penny is now crawling and keeps me on my toes constantly. She loves to find the smallest things on the floor and they go directly into her mouth. Lizzie fed her her first piece of chocolate the other day against my orders and Penny of course loved it! No pictures of that, sorry. It wasn't much to get a picture of; she was pretty clean about it-It was too good to waste, I suppose.
Penny's first word is Mama. She said it quite a long time ago but am just now reporting it. She's the first of my kids to have Mama be her first words but she truly is- Mama's girl. I can't leave the room without her crying these days-It's endearing and also a bit difficult sometimes. I think it's only because she's been teething and extremely needy.
Lincoln has too much energy, he doesn't know what to do with it. He loves sports which I happen to love too so we've been spending time working on them in the backyard-soccer, volleyball, basketball, next we'll get to football and baseball. We're tossing balls around all the time it seems but his indoor balls consist of balloons and the big lite air ones--what are they called? Anyway, he loves to jump too. Jumps everywhere and on everything-- All the time!! He's working on Not jumping on people though....I sound like I'm talking about a puppy but no, It's my crazy, energetic little boy. I LOVE him!
Lizzie wants to report her first loose toof! Yep, that's right. My baby girl has a loose tooth! I can't believe it. She is ecstatic about it and can't wait for it to fall out. She jumped up and down and flapped her arms around like she does and said with her face all scrunched up, does this mean I get to go to the dentist?! She was excited about this and I had to explain to her that she didn't go to the dentist for it but that we would help it or let it fall out on it's own and then the Tooth Fairy would exchange it. She was very excited about the Tooth Fairy!! But then she said to me, curiously, "How will I eat?!" She always has questions that follow more questions. She's too smart for her own good and is becoming quite the negotiator and debater.
Although she can be a bit off sometimes. She was freaking her brother out the other day with Zombie play and when he came to me, I said, that's silly. Of course there's no such thing as zombies-they're fake! Lizzie butted in and said, "Yea, Linc! You know what the difference between Fake and Real? Real is Unicorns and Fake is Zombies!" ...I didn't have the heart to break the news to her.

Yay! Pictures

I realize I have been a total slacker when it comes to posting on here but I'm making an effort to be better and I got myself a camera so I will have pictures to post now. I have a few to post that I stole from Rick's phone. They're all from within the last couple months. We have Lincoln showing his muscles, Penny growing by leaps and bounds, Lizzie learning to cook, all of us playing the kids new favorite ballon poppin game, a visit to grandma Bev's house and pictures in her old (kid size) rocking chair, along with some cuddle time and bike rides- Enjoy!
