Ridin' Horses!

Elizabeth loves the horses at my parents house. In fact, she loves them so much she didn't want to leave them. This is Lizzie with her cousin, Weston and her aunts, Brooklynne and Telli.

I believe that's chocolate all over Weston's face.

Lone Rider!

 Hang on!

Lizzie's Friend!

This is Cohlee, Elizabeth's friend. They are only a day apart from each other. I babysit from time to time and I took some pictures last time I was watching the kids. Cohlee is such a sweet heart. I just love her. She and Lizzie have so much fun together, although as of lately, Lizzie can't stand it when I show Cohlee more attention. But thats something she'll have to get over eventually.

Isn't she a cutie!

This is the two of them, playing nice of course.

Cami's Farewell

This will be Camilynnes first sunday in the MTC today. I've been thinking about her a lot lately. You wouldn't think that one person in the family being gone would make such a big difference, but it does. I miss her already. She entered the MTC this last wednesday, November 18th. For those of you who don't know, Cami is going to Argentina on a mission.

Mom's Birthday

We have three birthdays in November in my family. My mom's birthday is on the 8th and ducky's (my oldest brother) is on the 9th and Tyson (my other brother) is on the 19th. We usually end up having some kind of combined b-day party but this year, Ducky is up north, going to school. We actually did end up doing some kind of combined party for ducky and tyson at cami's farewell which was this last Sunday. But the only birthday party I got pictures from was my mom's. Sorry, Ducky and Ty!
Unfortunately, my mom was still feeling sick from having the flu the day before, but it was still a fun get together and for being sick, she still looks beautiful. I think she's the only person I know who can make a robe look that wonderful and cozy.

I have the most handsome Dad

The rest of us are having a lot more fun than is protrayed here. I promise!

Happy Birthday Mom!
Happy Birthday Ducky!
Happy Birthday Ty!
I love you all!

The day after Halloween

Need I say more?

Halloween Fun!

I finally have a moment to blog again in what feels like much longer than I'm sure its been. I know I never got a chance to put our Halloween pictures on, so I'm going to do it now. First off, we went to a Halloween dinner that my parents ward had before their trunk-or-treatin' went on. We had some really tasty chili and hot dogs and other yummy stuff and got to see everyones fun costumes.

This is just outside the church where they had their ward dinner party.
After stuffing our faces with food, we went to trunk-or-treating, which I realize now is actually a nice thing when you have little kids. I used to hate the idea of trunk-or-treating because I don't believe I am much of a fan of change when it comes to the traditional stuff. So it makes me happy that we still have the door to door kind of trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Now, we get a little of both.

This is my sister Cami and her boyfriend, JD.
Can you guess what they are?
Hint: Their costumes aren't related in any way.

Here's my Pebbles! Enjoying her handfuls of candy. I don't know how the binky got there!?

And this is my all time favorite Halloween picture.

Playing with the cousins

Elizabeth loved having Brett and Kyler over. They came over a couple of days ago while Angie went to her doctors apt. We had so much fun! Angie has such sweet little boys. I love them!

And Kyler gave me the biggest CHEESE. I love it!

Talk about "Static"

Cousin Weston got a car for his birthday and Elizabeth fell in love with it. She and the car have a special Electric connection ;)

She could spend hours in this car and be perfectly happy!

Lizzie

The other day, Lizzie brought me a shirt for her to put on (she does this on occasion), so I put the shirt on her and then a little later she brings me her pants and then.. her robe and then.. her jacket. So this was her; all ready to go for the day.

A little Halloween Preview

Unfortuantely, these aren't the pictures of all of us in our costumes because I forgot to take my camera for all the fun Halloween picture taking. So, it may be just a little while before I get the pictures from JD's camera. But these are a few pictures of our preparations for Halloween. Originally, we had purchased 3 pumpkins- one for each of us (Happy Pumpkin Family), but one of our pumpkins which we carved to have a tombstone with R.I.P. out of it, decided to grow hair. LOTS of hair and really fast too. So, we just have the two here.
(Left: dragon, monster thing) (Right: Owl)

We didn't get pictures of our pumpkins until after a couple of days, so if you're thinking they look kind of shriveled its because they are. Actually, our poor owl pumpkin was left lit the night we went out for a Halloween party and he got cooked pretty good- Oops! Elizabeth loved carving the pumpkins, she helped with a lot of it as well. She would hold the scooper and the pumpkin saw as we went to work on them and she was especially good at cleaning the insides out of the pumpkins by taking little fingerfuls and eating it. Yum!

So, while I was searching the town for a bone for Lizzie's hair, I was coming up empty handed and so I decided to return to the Marie Callendars lunch I had eaten the day before to retrieve a chicken leg bone from the garbage. I cleaned it of really good and stuck it in the window sill to let dry. It was perfect and quite genius if I do say so myself.

I just have to say that I had so much fun making Lizzie's costume this year and the total cost of the outfit and the accessories only came to about $5. Yay! Rick's costume didn't cost a thing because he used what we already had and my costume cost me $7. Yay again!

Here's Lizzie's bone bow that I made for her and below is a picture of Lizzie wearing her pearly rock bracelet.

Elizabeth is Teething...Again!

I don't think Lizzie has ever not been teething, but she sure does handle it well. She is an incredably tough child. She is surprisingly happy all the time even when she is getting three teeth all at once. That's right, 3 teeth, which will give her like 15 teeth now. She's going to have a full set here before we know it. But on the upside of it all, it sure does make for the cutest smile. "CHEESE"!

I Love her Gap!

Friday

Friday was so much fun! We scheduled to have family pictures with Rachel and it was such a blast. Elizabeth totally adored Rachel and at one point was climbing on her and searching for her belly button. Even Rick mentioned to me how much fun it was and  for the occasion being family pictures, I was very much surprised to hear that from him. But it's true, normally getting family pictures is more stressful than fun but to me, it was like a girl's night but family invited. Elizabeth was so much fun to watch as she ran around playing with this or that. She found a couple of little toy frogs in the grass and was pretty happy about finding them. Rachel took great pictures and I'm so excited to see them when she's all finished. Thanks Rachel! I think you are an amazing photographer and an even better friend. I love you!

Also, after the picture taking was done, we left for Jason's Birthday party which was so much fun. It was a costume party, which Rick failed to mention to me, so neither of us were dressed up. It was a little awkward when Jason answered the door in his awesome pirate costume and we had come as us. Luckily, Jason loaned us a couple of costumes for the night, which meant that I was a Renaissance Lady and Rick was a HOBO GHOST! It really was a lot of fun. we had Cafe Rio and some really yummy cherry limeade sprite drinks, granted they had brains in them but that only made for some good texture when our drinks were through.

Happy Birthday Jason!

Oh, By The Way...

Yep! It was mine and Rick's Anniversary on the 29th of October. My mom was the one to remind me. Seriously! Rick and I both forgot our Anniversary and it wasn't until I was talking to my mom on the phone and she wished me a HAPPY Anniversary and I immediately thought, "Oh CRAP"!. I had to run and check the calendar as soon as I was off the phone and then I gave Rick a kiss and said Happy Anniversary. He laughed a little and said, "Oh CRAP!". Thats when I told him that my mom had actually reminded me and we both laughed hysterically together for a few minutes, although I'm still laughing about it. I never thought I would reach that point of forgetting my own Anniversary at such a young age. Oh well! What can you do?
P.S. Thanks Mom!!

Happy Anniversary Babe!
I also just want Rick to know that I love him so much and he has made me happier than I ever imagined. I am so blessed to have a worthy Preisthood holder and a wonderful man to walk hand in hand with through life. I couldn't have asked for a better other half. Rick, you are my dreams come true. I love You!
Okay, enough of the yucky love stuff! ;)

Night! Mmmmmmwwwhhhaa!!!

I know I've said this before, but it's happening. Elizabeth is growing up! Too fast, isn't there a pause button somewhere?! She is now saying all sorts of words including, Hi and Bye and the cutest of them all is when she says good "Night" and always follows it with a big blow kiss and a wave.

Of course rick gives us kisses before he leaves for work every morning and this one morning this last week, Lizzie was especially bummed that daddy was leaving and when I said to blow kisses bye, bye, she started the ritual and then paused still holding her hand over her mouth. shes was completely frozen there almost as if she were thinking, " Maybe, If I don't blow a kiss, he won't go". Rick saw this and came back to give his little girl some BIG reassuring hugs. I believe she thought it worked and she might just try out that trick more often now.

Look at that face!
