FHE

Family Home Evening.....hmmm...what can I say about this? I love it but most often it ends with one or two kids in tears for some reason yet we keep doing it because the tears never outweigh the laughs. We played "Dead Man" any one heard of it? It was one of my favorite childhood trampoline games along with "Rolley Polley"...Ring any bells?? I don't know if these were just made up games for our family or if they are known among so many others...either way, they are great and Lincoln is ALWAYS wanting to play them, which made me think it was the perfect activity for our family. We also watched a short film that was really inspirational and had some great lessons in it. We can't seem to get through any movie without Lizzie asking a hundred questions which in this case was not a bad thing. Even though Lincoln lost interest and had my phone taken from him after he tried to sneakily play a game on it instead of doing what the rest of the family was doing, I had felt the spirit while watching the movie and so I know my kids feel it too and maybe someday they can make a connection with that feeling and the good things in life. I am hopeful that even though FHE lessons can feel overwhelming, chaotic, and more tear-filled than most other days, that someday it can bless our family in more ways than one. Like I said, the laughs definitely out weigh the cries.

A bit of randomness

The weather has been so nice, we've had a few more park days and spent some several hours playing in the sprinklers at the house as well as bike rides in the evenings. Lincoln is learning to whistle and so am I..Haha! but for real. Lizzie will be graduating from Kindergarten soon-Crazy! I can't believe it. She did awesome and is so excited for first grade. Rick is still working his heart out and I am trying to not complain about the very tiny bit of time me and the kids get to see him. I also did very good in this last volleyball tourney and I think I may have just found my doubles partner for as long as the both of us are still living in St. George and are not hugely pregnant. We played really well together. I can't wait for the next one! Penny got her first immunizations and she took them like a champ but I will totally say that I'm glad I waited for her to get them. We also had to wait like two hours at the doctors office so we took some pictures and the kids enjoyed it (they were so good at waiting-it was unbelievable). Penny is nine months now and growing like a weed! I seriously wish I could find the pause button...Rick and I got to check out the blood moon together this last week-kinda Eerie but way cool. We have also been looking and keeping our eyes open for homes everywhere. Not sure where life will take us next but we're being open to anything and everything....so how's that for a bit of randomness

I Love days like these

The kids and I brought daddy lunch today. He met us at a park real close and we all played our little hearts out while he was there. I love sneaking in a bit of time with Rick anywhere I can and this just happens to be a great park close by his work where we can let the kids play while we eat or chat together or join the kids in some park play. It's a beautiful day today- I couldn't resist! Besides I did some cleaning and organizing at home and had a load to be put in our storage unit. Penny has out grown so many of her fun baby toys-the swing, the bouncy chair, and the bassinet. She is to the point of trying to crawl out of her crib even and I'm thinking she may just succeed at it-I'll keep you posted.
I feel so blessed on this beautiful day with all my babies playing nicely and for the little (and sometimes the only) bit of time I get to spend with Rick. It's never much time we get together but we make it work and it's been nice. He is my very best friend and I feel lucky to be his wife.
I taught a lesson in Primary on Eternal marriage this last Sunday and told the kids how Rick and I met and then were married for all eternity. I later thought- I can't think of a more romantic gesture. Rick didn't just want to marry me for this time on earth-til death do us part, But he wanted it to be forever and then to be sealed in such a beautiful Temple is like being married in a castle (That's what my kids have called it). I'm so glad he picked me and even more grateful to have three sweet, beautiful babies. Well, here's some pictures from our day. Hope you enjoy!
